AQHYA is excited to bring back the College Fair and host the inaugural Behind the Scenes Tour at 2024 AQHYA World Championship Show.

The American Quarter Horse Youth Association is excited to host two inspiring events to help youth learn about the career opportunities they have in the equine industry and speak with colleges from across the country to start planning their future. New for 2024, AQHYA is hosting the Behind the Scenes Tour in addition to bringing back the College Fair.
Behind the Scenes at the AQHYA World Show
Get Behind-the-Scenes at the AQHYA World Championship Show! This new tour is August 4 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. AQHYA will take participants along for an exclusive look behind the curtain at one of the Association’s biggest shows. Tour is open to everyone who signs up. Participants have the opportunity to meet show officials and learn about their jobs; visit with a youth exhibitor and learn what it’s like to compete at an AQHA world championship event; and try their hand at judging a class from the stands.
Registration is free, open to all and closes on August 1. Space is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
College Fair
AQHYA is excited to bring the College Fair back to the AQHYA World Championship Show. Visit with college representatives on Monday, August 5, and Tuesday, August 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the OKC Fairgrounds to learn more about different college opportunities, programs and how they connect with an equine background.
Colleges will be located along the east side of the warm-up pen in the Super Barn. This event will be open to all and will not require registration.
About the AQHYA World
The AQHYA World Championship Show is the world’s largest single-breed world championship horse show open exclusively to youth exhibitors age 18 and under. This is the pinnacle event for youth competitors around the world who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to secure a spot in each of the classes, representing English, western and halter disciplines, or earn an invitation through their state or provincial affiliate. The show includes Level 3, Adequan® Level 2 and Level 1 Champion of Champions classes.
The 2024 AQHYA World Championship Show runs August 2-11.
