APHC Copper Country POR – Friday, December 29th, 2023
On Friday, December 29th, at the Arizona Paint Horse Club Copper Country Paint-O-Rama, exhibitors and their horses competed in Longe Line, Showmanship, and Halter, and mixed throughout the day was a lot of fun, including Hula Hoop contests and at the end of the day, their annual POR Costume Contest with some impressive get-ups!
When showmanship classes were complete, a showmanship sweep was discovered – the entire Averill family won each of their showmanship classes, and in our EC TV video, we talked with them about why this is their favorite class, and how they stay on top of their game:
Later in the day, Dakota King and her horse, Dreww Breeze, won their Amateur Performance Halter Geldings class (Dreww Breeze also won second overall in Open Performance Halter Geldings with Anthony Wilson). Drew was a special gift for Dakota – check out her EC TV video to learn why!
