Around the Rings – 2023 ShoMe Holiday ShoDown

ShoMe Horse shows concluded their 2023 season with the much-anticipated Holiday ShoDown this past weekend.
Judges Mark Smith, Amy Franks, Laura Jackson, and Jenny Pierucki officiated 131 classes with more than 1,900 total entries over the course of three days. Friday evening festivities included the annual Hot Cocoa Social & Freestyle Christmas Ride performances. Seth Kenoyer aboard A Lister took home top honors with a high energy reining performance to the tune of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Weekend high point awards were awarded in 12 divisions with winners taking home the coveted Holiday ShoDown Christmas belt buckle!

ShoMe also recognized their overall Year End Champion in each division. The highest accumulating pair across all three of their 2023 events received a trophy and a complimentary 2024 ShoMe Season Pass. Season passes guarantee exhibitors a stall for EACH 2024 ShoMe Horse shows event. Season pass holders also receive priority stalling and the option to reserve back numbers for the year.
“For those who didn’t show their way to a Season Pass, these will be available right after the New Year’s ball drop! We had several folks online with us at midnight last year which was so fun. Season Passes were offered for the first time in 2023 with 140 total passes sold. We’ve had continued interest in these, especially being that the Holiday ShoDown sold out in a matter of minutes this past September with an additional 50+ stall wait list.”
“Looking ahead, we’re focused on debuting our newest event, The Championship Sho, this fall at the Midland County Fairgrounds. This is something that has been on the back burner for a couple of years now. We were just waiting on a date, which as show producers know, are a hot commodity! The Championship Sho will be another opportunity to really celebrate our exhibitors’ achievements year over year and we couldn’t be more excited to offer it for the first time October 17-20. Exhibitors earning 1st or 2nd in their class at the 2024 Spring ShoCase, the 2024 Summer ShoStopper, or during the first three days of the 2024 The Championship Sho will be eligible for our slate of Championship classes to be held Sunday, October 20.”
