Last weekend marked the inaugural Classic horse show, hosted by Texas Quarter Horse Association, which took place September 1-5 in Fort Worth, Texas. The event provided six sets of AQHA points and two sets of NSBA points. Judges were Brent Maxwell, Judd Paul, Eric Hubbard, Jon Barry, Kelly Chapman, and Valerie Kearns.
The schedule had an interesting format that proved to be very helpful for competitors. The show started at noon on Wednesday and, from 8 to 11 am, exhibitors had the opportunity to school Western Riding- $15 minutes per 5-minute run. It was a great way to practice in the pen prior to competing later in the day.
Congratulations to High Point winners at the show!
