NSBA World Show Sale Recap and Sale Graduate Earnings

Another group of talented, quality yearling prospects passed through the ring at the 2021 Markel Insurance BCF Yearling Sale this past Friday with record breaking numbers. We saw a record number of horses selling over $100,000, a record total sales of $1,815,300 and a record average sale price of $17,797.

Graduates of the 2021 Yearling Sale will also be competing for a record estimated purse of $187,342 during their two and three-year-old year.

Congratulations to our highest selling horse, Hip #22 Cool Ladys Man! The 2020 stud colt, by RL Best Of Sudden and out of Cool Krymsun Lady (One Hot Krymsun), was consigned by Knapp Quarter Horse Farms LC and was purchased for $105,000.

Congratulations to the high selling mare, Hip #94 VS Guardian Angel! Consigned by Glover Galyean Partnership with Julie Voge as agent, she was purchased for $104,000.

Congratulations to high selling gelding Hip #10 Pretty Dang Good consigned by Meghan Tierney, Amy Gumz agent and was purchased for $52,000.

The numbers don’t lie. It was a good week to be a sale graduate at the 2021 NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity! A total of $72,839 was paid out among the nine qualified 2020 Sale Graduates and $67,597.50 was paid out among the six qualified 2019 Sale Graduates.
