Pinto World Championship Records 8,500+ Entries in Largest Event

BETHANY, Okla. – The Pinto World Championship Show held in Tulsa, Okla., had over 8,500 entries in 768 classes with a variety of 2,383 equines through the gate to include horses, miniature horses, mules, donkeys and miniature donkeys. Our online webcast audience totaled 51,000 with over 195,000 streams. Our exhibitors traveled from 44 U.S. states and one Canadian providence.

“We had the largest number of entries in the 2021 Pinto World Championship show than in past shows,” said Darrell Bilke, Chief Operating Officer of Pinto Horse Association of America.

There was amazing participation in special classes such as Shorty’s Charity Walk Trot, Open Versatility, Mini Versatility and Mini Barrel Calcutta. There was also classes with WCHA Yellow Rose Futurity and the Long Ear World Championship.

“Congratulations to all our exhibitors and a huge thank you to all of our staff for putting on such a great show,” said Bilke.

$750,000 in prizes were awarded during the Pinto World Championship to include Gist buckles, Herron Tack carts, Shorty’s Caboy Hat, Tioga Territory jackets and more! Incorporated in 1956, the Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc, was formed to encourage the promotion of quality horses, ponies and miniatures with color to establish a registry for maintaining their pedigrees and records. Currently, the association serves approximately 80,000 members and boasts 157,000 registered Pintos.
