Already a member of the APHA Hall of Fame, venerable Paint mare Scarlet Print was honored as part of the World Conformation Horse Association’s 2020 Hall of Fame class on November 12 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Scarlet Print was a 1990 chestnut overo mare by Silent Print and out of Oakes Shady Lady who earned 1,334 lifetime APHA points in halter classes. Owned by Michelle Engle of Bakersfield, California, Scarlet Print had an impressive accolade of awards, including four Registers of Merit, three Superiors Events and 10 world championship titles—all in halter classes.

She was a dam to nine horses that have collected a total of 746 points in halter classes. The Scarlet Print Award, named in her honor, is presented to any Regular Registry halter mare who earned Youth, Amateur and Open world championships at the APHA World Championship Show in a single year.
