The American Quarter Horse Association has modified the 2020 AQHA Awards Celebration, presented by ProElite, to protect the safety of attendees. For the past two years, the Awards Celebration, which recognizes the previous year’s high-point exhibitors and professionals of the year, has been held at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City during the AQHA World Championship Show.

This year, the 2019 year-end high-point award recipients will be recognized with a special video that will premiere during the Farnam AQHA World Championship Show, which is slated for November 2-21 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. The video will also be shared via Facebook Live to nearly 1 million AQHA Facebook fans. Award winners will have the opportunity to receive their award during the corresponding Level 3 class awards presentation during the Farnam AQHA World and will also be showcased on AQHA.com.

Awards recipients have been contacted directly through email. Award winners who will be recognized are the 2019 AQHA All-Around Amateur; AQHA All-Around Junior Horse; AQHA All-Around Senior Horse; Markel All-Around Youth 14-18; Markel All-Around Youth 13-&-Under; the top open, amateur and Equestrians With Disabilities year-end high-point winners; Justin Boots Intermediates of the Year; AQHA Exhibitor of the Year; Nutrena Don Burt AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year; Nutrena AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year; and Most Valuable Professional. If you are a top 2019 high-point award recipient and have not received information, please contact highpoint@aqha.org.

Awards recipients who are attending the 2020 Farnam AQHA World and would like to receive their trophy at the show must RSVP by Friday, October 16. Contact highpoint@aqha.org to RSVP.

Please review the Farnam AQHA World Health Protocols before arriving in Oklahoma City; protocols are subject to change. As a reminder, the facility is not open to the general public during the show; however, exhibitors, trainers and their connections can still attend. AQHA will continue to monitor the situation and potential effects on this year’s show. In the event a change is made to the show, AQHA will share additional information on AQHA.com.
