Earn Prizes From Home With ApHC Saddle Log Program

If you’re under a stay-at-home order during this time, we hope you’re getting a lot of hours in the saddle with your favorite Appaloosa! The Saddle Log and Driver and Disabled Rider/Driver Programs could be just the thing for you right now!

It doesn’t matter what type of riding you do! Showing…. trail riding…. barrel racing…. eventing…. Whatever your passion, why not receive some added recognition and cool prizes for the time you spend with your Appaloosa?

How to qualify:

You must be a current ApHC member. Any horses used in the program must be registered with the ApHC; there are no restrictions as to age, registration type or ownership.

You must maintain a current membership and a current saddle log enrollment to log hours. You are unable to log hours during any gaps in enrollment and/or membership.

Additionally, all hours earned in a calendar year (Jan-Dec) must be logged by December 31 of each year. Hours for the calendar year cannot be updated for prior years.

How to enroll:

  • Enroll online using this link! Or, print the enrollment form and mail to ApHC.
  • For adults – – there is a $25 annual enrollment fee that enables adults to participate for 12 months from the date the enrollment application is received by the ApHC, (ex. If your form arrives July 23, you are eligible to participate through July 22 of the following year.)
  • For youth – – there is a one-time $20 enrollment fee that enables youth to participate from the date the application is received in the ApHC office through and including the year the youth turns 19.
  • All horses used must be ApHC-registered Appaloosas. All registration designations are eligible. Participants may use multiple ApHC-registered Appaloosas and do not need to own the horses used in the program.
  • Log all hours spent riding online at www.appaloosa.com. Select the link titled: “Member Sign In” and use your membership number to create a user name and password that you will remember. Once you have logged into the members section of the ApHC website click on the link titled: “My Saddle Log” to log your hours.
  • Records will be permanently maintained in the customer’s file beginning in 2006

Awards in the Saddle Log – Disabled Rider/Driver Programs:

  • Saddle Log riders and drivers receive prizes upon completion of 100, 200, 500,1000 and each 1000-hour plateau thereafter for hours ridden.
  • Drivers and disabled riders/drivers will receive prizes upon completion of 25, 50, 75, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 hours.
  • Hours logged from 2008 forward enable the rider to earn prizes referenced above.
  • Saddle log prizes are calculated and mailed twice annually (typically in Jan/Feb and Sept/Oct.)
