Level 3 13-&-Under core classes have been added to the 2018 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show. The classes were recommended by the American Quarter Horse Association Show Committee at the 2017 AQHA Convention and were recently approved by the AQHA Executive Committee.

Exhibitors can qualify to compete in Level 3 13-&-Under western pleasure, hunter under saddle, horsemanship, hunt seat equitation, showmanship, ranch riding and trail at the 2018 Ford Youth World. The world champion, reserve world champion, top-10 placings and five finalists will be awarded in each Level 3 13-&-Under class. Winners in the 13-&-Under classes will be awarded as a one-go-round format.

AQHA will still recognize the top three 13-&-Under competitors in the rest of the Level 3 classes at the Ford Youth World.

To enter a Level 3 13-&-Under class, the exhibitor/horse must earn the predetermined number of points. Stay tuned to www.aqha.com/youthworld for the approved qualifying points.

The 2018 Ford Youth World qualifying period is May 1, 2017 – April 30, 2018.

“We have so many talented youth in our Association who deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments in the arena,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “Our goal with adding the 13-&-Under classes to the Ford Youth World is to be able to highlight our exhibitors under the age of 13 in the world show arena.”

The Ford Youth World is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse exhibitors, ages 18 and under, around the world, who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the classes representing halter, English and western disciplines.
