Day two at The International kicked off with Ranch Riding and Reining. The Ranch Riding patterns were created this weekend by pattern guru, Tim “Man Of Trail” Kimura, and many of the ranch exhibitors have been excited to try something a little different. Following the Ranch Riding was the Western Riding, which ended with a 17 head Open class won by Becca Hurst with Moonlight Rodder on two cards, and Millissa Daurer with KM Zip Me Suddenly winning on the third card.

The afternoon held the Hunt Seat classes. Valerie Kearns Quarter Horses had a great afternoon with Valerie and Red Code Review winning both the Green and Junior Hunter Under Saddle under all three judges and Alexa Frencl and BMQ Almost Illegal winning the Novice Youth under all three. This team was also second on all three cards in the Youth. Other winners this afternoon included As The World Terms with both Becca Hurst in the Open and Penny Jargella in the Amateur Select, UF A Light Smoke and Emma Garcia in the Novice Youth Equitation, and Good Going Danica and Karen Boxell in the Select Equitation.

The horse show got over a little earlier today, which gives everyone plenty of time to prep some Trail, work on Showmanship, ride in the show pen, or maybe do a little shopping at some of the great vendors here on the grounds. Many folks have gone just a few miles up the road to Greencastle, IN. to check out some of the restaurants there. The practice pens are in full swing this evening, and we will be back at it at 7:00 am with Showmanship in a split arena!
