Illinois Quarter Horse Futurity Wraps up with 3,000+ Entries
Weanling Champion of Champions
The Illinois Quarter Horse Association Fall Futurity took place on September 15-18th with Bennie T Sargent, Jennifer Leckey, Steve Ferguson and Sue Kapushion judging. The show was over 3,000 entries strong.
The show featured Open and Non Pro Longe Line classes with $2,000 in added money for the winners. The Open class was won by EZ Natural Kruzer, owned by Douglas Zumeris and shown by Jeff Greaves. Party On Mac and Robert Miller won the Non Pro class.

Another highlight was the Weanling Champion of Champions winner, an unnamed filly owned by Mark Neibrugge and shown by Christopher Arentsen. The 2-Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle Futurity class was won by a homebred gelding, Al Amaze You, owned by Anne Demirjian.
Exhibitors enjoyed a Pizza and Beer Party thrown by the ILQHA Amateur Committee on Saturday night. The party also featured a prize drawing for all ILQHA amateur members. The winner, Debbie Kluz, had her entire show bill paid for by the ILQHA!
