Transcendence is Breeders’ Halter Futurity’s Newest Color Division Sire
Joyful Spirit Equestrian is excited to announce that the 5-time APHA/PtHA World Champion stallion, Transcendence, will be nominated for the 2017 Breeders’ Halter Futurity. The Breeders Halter Futurity is the richest Halter competition in history and a unique opportunity for an unprecedented amount of payback. Transcendence will be one of the newest stallions nominated to the Breeders’ Halter Futurity Color Division, eligible for both the amateur and open divisions. As a result, foals of any breed sired by Transcendence in 2017 will be eligible for the Breeders Halter Futurity.
The next breeding season will commence in February of 2017. Owners of mares who have interest in the Breeders Halter Futurity and breeding to Transcendence should begin planning now to ensure availability. Transcendence was bred by Jerry and Gwen Vawter. Many have attributed Jerry and Gwen to having bred the industry’s most successful and foundational sires. Transcendence has won multiple championships at several distinguished events including the American Paint Horse Association World Championship and the Pinto Horse Association World Championship. Transcendence will make his final competitive appearance at the 2016 APHA World Championship, November 2-12 in Fort Worth Texas, where he will compete in both the Amateur and Open classes.
Transcendence is owned by Kevin and Edie Williams, who operate Joyful Spirit Equestrian. Transcendence stands at Four Winds Training & Management in Oolagah, Oklahoma. Four Winds Training & Management is owned by Terry and Sue Heimerman. Rounding out team Transcendence is Kelley Stone of Diamond 2M Show Horses in Sanger, Texas. Diamond 2M Show Horses is helping Transcendence make preparations for his final competitive appearance at the APHA World Championships.
