SCOTTSDALE, AZ— Kimes Ranch is launching their biggest contest yet, with over $9,000 worth in prizes including band merchandise designed and manufactured by Kimes Ranch and $2,000 in cash. Kimes Ranch is seeking talented singer/songwriters or groups that play country music to submit a 45 second clip of their performance of an original song. The grand prize winner will also win a 2017 endorsement from Kimes Ranch.
After much success with their annual model and sponsorship contests, Kimes Ranch decided to test this process out in a new “arena” seeking new artists and groups. The contest launched early last week and they have already had some candidates apply. “This one is a little trickier,” says Director of Marketing Lindsay Perraton. “There are a lot more rules and requirements when you are at this level, so it takes longer than just a few minutes to apply. Applicants have to take into consideration the length of their submission as well it has to be an original song.” To accommodate this, Kimes Ranch has given applicants until August 12th to get their applications in.
To ensure that they select the best candidate possible, Kimes Ranch has brought on current endorsees Heidi Newfield and Keith Burns of Trick Pony to assist with the judging. “We are elated to work with Trick Pony on this as they have their hands on the heartbeat of this industry and will really be able to select the best person to represent our brand,” Perraton says. Not only is the famed duo selecting the winner but part of the grand prize will be to open for Trick Pony at a Kimes Ranch VIP concert at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in October.
If you know of someone that would be a good fit for this contest send them to www.kimesranch.com/country-artist/ for full contest rules.
