Painter, Spell, Granzow, Beardsley Are Big Winners of PQS Classes Over the Weekend in Nebraska

On Friday, we celebrated the first two champions of the inaugural Premier Quarter Sires classes that were held at the Nebraska Cornhusker Classic. Winning the 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Western Pleasure was Lara Yungclas aboard He’s Lazy No Doubt for owner Tanna Petersak. The winner of the Limited Horse Limited Rider Non Pro Hunter Under Saddle Maturity was Shelby Cochran with Just Sleep On It for owner Lisa Feinberg.

Over the weekend, two more PQS champions were crowned and presented with big checks. Winning the 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Hunter Under Saddle was Ryan Painter with Huntin All The Time for owner Ellie Seddon. The pair received a check for $8,060 for the win. Huntin All The Time is by Hubba Hubba Huntin and out of Miss Certifiable.

The Reserve Champion was Laura Spell with I’m All In Your Face for owners Loren and Debi East. The team received $5,055. This horse is by Allocate Your Assets and out of Moons Fancy Face. Rounding out the top three was Danielle Burns with Always In The Chips, receiving $3,055.

The winner of the Limited Horse Limited Rider Non Pro Western Pleasure Maturity was Brooke Granzow with RR Final Approach for owner Sara Heeley. The pair received $1,400 for the win. RR Final Approach is by Only In The Moonlite and out of Forever Zipped.

The Reserve Champion was Alyssa Beardsley with He’s Sizzling Hot, a horse by One Hot Krymsun and out of Zizzles Hot Chex. This pair received $1,200. Rounding out the top three was Rebecca Bunting with The Coolest Man, a horse by Batt Man and out of CRL Coosis. They received $800 for third place.

3rd Place – $3,055 – Always In The Chips. Sired by EXTREMELY HOT CHIPS and out of Always Invite Megan. Owned by Galloping B Ranch and shown by Danielle Burns.

4th Place – $2,555 – Deep Pockets. Sired by COATS N TAILS and out of Fun Loving Luke. Owned by Nikki Heck and shown by Paula Pray.

5th Place – $2,055 – Stealing The Prise. Sired by IRON ENTERPRISE and out of Blue Skys Movin In. Owned by Jeff & Melissa Clark and shown by Melissa Clark.

6th Place – $1,555 – No Tail Gating. Sired by COATS N TAILS and out of Sentimental Detail. Owned by Shelby Cochran and shown by Erin Lieurance.

7th Place – $1,055 – Anonymous Ally. Sired by ALLOCATE YOUR ASSETS and out of Sweet Tort. Owned and shown by Marnie McDowall.

8th Place – $905 – Weve Got The Goods. Sired by GOOD I WILL BE and out of Chip N Hot Prinicple. Owned by Mary Davis and shown by Alison Kish.

9th Place – $705 – Ultimate Irons. Sired by THESE IRONS ARE HOT and out of Double My Assets. Owned and shown by Kelly Jadin.

There were also several NSBA futurity classes held during the show. These class were open to all horses, not just those sired by stallions enrolled in the Premier Quarter Sires program.
