NSBA Boot Camps Announced
This year, the National Snaffle Bit Association will be hosting three clinics to encourage participation among riders of all levels. Held in various locations, the NSBA Boot Camps seek to provide an educational opportunity for young riders to gain knowledge through instruction from top equine professionals they may otherwise not have access to.
The dates and locations for the 2016 NSBA Boot Camps are:
June 21-23 – Gordyville, Gifford, Illinois
June 28-30 – St Andrews College, Laurinburg, North Carolina
July 12-13 – The Ranch, Loveland, Colorado

Yearling Sale Consignments Due June 1st
Spring is in the air and summer deadlines are fast approaching. If you own a yearling or are in the market for a prospect, there is no better sale venue than the Markel Insurance Breeders Championship Futurity Yearling Sale. Horses that were sold through the 2014 & 2015 Breeders Championship Futurity Year Sale are now eligible to compete for an additional $100,014.50 in BCF classes at the 2016 NSBA World Championship Show.
Proceeds from the annual sale are used to fund a purse exclusively held for sale graduates. In order to be eligible for the additional purse, horses must have been sold through the Breeders Championship Futurity Yearling Sale. Sale graduates are then eligible to compete for these additional monies in their two year old or three year old year.

May 15 BCF Nomination Deadline Approaching
May 15th marks the final date to receive the greatest available discount for the nomination of stallions and yearlings into the NSBA’s Breeders Championship Futurity. Stallions may be nominated for just $400, and yearlings for $150. Nominations must be postmarked by May 15 in order to lock in these discounted rates.

2015 NSBA Smart Points Value Announced
NSBA is proud to announce that the NSBA Smart Points Program paid $39.66 per youth point earned in 2015. That’s an increase in value of $4.15 per point from 2014!
The NSBA Smart Points Program is a pioneering youth scholarship program in our industry, and rewards enrolled youth with scholarship dollars for every point earned in NSBA Youth, Novice Youth, and Youth Walk-Trot competition. Youth accumulate points, and are paid in the form of a scholarship upon their graduation from the youth division.

Stallion Incentive Fund Pays $40.38 per Point in 2015
The National Snaffle Bit Association is proud to announce that the 2015 Payout for the NSBA Stallion Incentive Fund is $40.38 per point. The NSBA Stallion Incentive Fund Licensing Program is the only incentive fund in the industry to pay more than $16 per point. In fact, NSBA pays more than double value on each point compared to AQHA–proof that it pays BIG to show NSBA.
