WHAT: World Wide Paint Horse Congress

WHERE: Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square

WHEN: Wednesday, July 27 – Sunday, July 31, 2016

Sponsored by Kansas Paint Horse Association

WHY: The WORLD WIDE PAINT HORSE CONGRESS was the 2nd largest APHA USA Show in 2015

“It’s rewarding that in 2015 the Congress was the second largest APHA show in the United States,” says Congress Chair Casey West. “Thanks to the owners and exhibitors who came with entries to make this happen. What is particularly rewarding is the number of horses…which exceeds the horse numbers for the shows above us on this list.”

EXHIBITORS’ APPRECIATION CLINIC – TRAIL & SHOWMANSHIP

“Because we wanted to further express our appreciation to our exhibitors, we are staging a Trail and Showmanship clinic on Tuesday, July 26,” says Congress Show Manager Karen Kennedy. “APHA Judges Sara Simons and Robert Dehn, also our trail designer, have graciously offered their services at no charge and will be the clinicians for both disciplines. We can’t thank them enough for giving their time and expertise on behalf of our exhibitors. Because of their generosity, we are offering this clinic to our exhibitors on a complimentary basis. A start time for this clinic will be published soon so those wanting to take advantage of it can make their arrival plans accordingly.”

Exhibitors’ Appreciation events will again include a Living Large sponsored BBQ, hot dog lunch, and an ice cream social.

NEW AND RETURNING TRADE SHOW VENDORS TO DATE

“In addition to the exhibitors’ appreciation events, the Congress stages a Trade Show,” says Trade Show Chair John Dunn. “Our vendors are most appreciative of this opportunity to display their products to a large group of owners and exhibitors.”

“We are happy to announce the addition of Cornelius Saddlery this year. Randy Cornelius, with the help of son Riley, operate a shop in LaCyne, Kansas, and a website. We welcome them to the Congress. We are also fortunate that scheduling allows Dee and Dave Hickson, Sunburst Bit & Spurs, to join us this year. Dee has expanded her inventory to include a wide variety of show pads.”

Familiar faces returning to the Congress Trade Show include Ameristar/440 Fence, Cowboy Couture, Markel Insurance/Diane Paris, Pinto Horse Association of America, Tack Room, Tioga Territory, Triple Crown Nutrition and Show Off Designs.
