Nation’s Largest Three Day Horse Fair – Midwest Horse Fair- April 15-16, 2016

Cowboys, equestrians and horse lovers alike will all be awed by the Midwest Horse Fair.  Held annually at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI, the Midwest Horse Fair has been growing and going strong since 1979. The 2016 event will take place on April 15, 16 & 17, 2016 with a Vegas-style theme “The Sky’s the Limit”

What is the Midwest Horse Fair? It is an all-encompassing horse event for people of every age and experience level. There are aisles upon aisles of shopping, hundreds of clinics & demonstrations, equestrian competitions, PRCA Rodeos and, of course, horses, horses, horses! If it is equine related, you will probably find it at the Midwest Horse Fair.

For youth entertainment, stop by the Kids Korral with age appropriate educational crafts and interactive activity stations. Little buckaroos can try their hand on the pony rides or the Horse Judging Competition and enjoy the celebrity horses stalled in Pavilion One. Round out the day by attending one of the more than 50 Breed & Discipline Demonstrations for an educational experience that is both informative and fun!

For the young at heart and the equine socialite, the Friday & Saturday evening PRCA Rodeos are two can’t-miss shows.  Each feature the seven standard rodeo events and multiple entertainment acts throughout. The PRCA Rodeo is action-packed with bulls, broncs, cowboys and non-stop excitement. For those looking to really celebrate the horse in all its glory, the Liberty Presentations are never a disappointment. Each day, five horses are individually presented in the Coliseum, free of tack, where they trot, gallop and parade freely to music.

For the serious equestrians in attendance, take a stroll down Stallion Avenue, featuring a wide array of breeding stallions available for bookings. Next, wander through more than 500 commercial exhibitors, which can meet every need from farm equipment to apparel, specialty tack, horse health care and so much more. Finally, fine tune your trade or pick up new skills during one of the hundreds of clinics and lectures. There are more than 30 equine experts and world famous clinicians who can advise on anything from saddle fit to equine health and Western Pleasure to Saddle Seat and everything in between.
