Kansas Paint Horse Association Gears Up For 45th World Wide Paint Horse Congress
“We are looking forward to another successful World Wide Paint Horse Congress…our 45th one,” says KPHA President Terryl Jordan. “We’ll be back in Tulsa at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex. Thanks to the exhibitors who have supported us and we look forward to seeing you back this year.”
Repeating Show to 8 Judges- Pay For 4 Judges
In 2015, the KPHA Board developed a unique fee concept of “Show to 8, Pay for 4.” This will be offered again in 2016.
Per Congress Chair Casey West, “We recognize the expense for exhibitors of showing to and paying for eight judges. It was, and is, a high priority to us to be able to offer an eight-judge event in a premier facility that is as affordable as possible for everyone. Four free judges is a huge benefit. Last year, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and this unique fee was instrumental in attracting exhibitors who might not have come without that savings. We are excited to be able to offer it again this year.”
“The key is the number of classes,” continues West. “We don’t care if an exhibitor switches to another or other classes, as long as the number of classes in which entered and shown under the first set of judges remains constant or increases under the second set of judges.”
Taking advantage of this special entry fee structure requires:
* Entries must be made on or before July 15th, no advance payment required.
* Exhibitors must enter and show in the same number of classes under the second set of four judges as entered and shown under the first set of four judges. Exhibitors can increase the number of classes while at the show under both sets of four judges as long as the exhibitor and horse information has been supplied and entered in the computer on or before July 15th.
*Office charges apply under all eight judges.
*Stalls reservations are due on or before July 15th. Payment required.
Repeating NSBA Dual Approved Classes
A large number of exhibitors took advantage of the NSBA dual approved classes, which were a new addition to the 2015 Congress. These classes are definitely an attraction given the NSBA World Show, also held at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex, starts following the Congress: 2016 NSBA World Show dates: August 13 – August 21.
Giving Back to Exhibitors
2015 featured several “Giving Back to Exhibitors” sponsored events including complimentary morning coffee and donuts, an Appreciation BBQ, hotdog feed, and an ice cream social. Watch for information on 2016 “Give Backs.”
Sponsors and Vendors
“What a benefit the jumbo-tron is for our sponsors and vendors,” says Sponsor Chair Clea Bobbitt. “We‟ll definitely be using it again this year. Gay Jordan did a fabulous job creating the video, which was not only fun to watch but gave our sponsors and vendors continuous exposure. It’s an enormous job obtaining the images and we’ve set a June 15th deadline for inclusion.”
Clea and Trade Show Chair John Dunn have begun the solicitation process and potential sponsors and vendors can contact each.
