To qualify for the individual finals, riders must have scored within the Top 15 during the First Individual Qualifier held concurrently with the Team Competition; those not qualifying on their first ride could earn redemption by scoring in the Top 5 of the Second Individual Qualifier held Thursday, September 13.
Custom Made Gun, a 7-year-old Paint/Quarter Horse stallion, carried Team USA rider Cade McCutcheon to the top score of 229 during the team competition, and teammates Dan Huss and Ms Dreamy, an 8-year-old Paint/Quarter Horse mare, followed close behind for the second-highest score of 226.5.
