Eighty horses are residing at a Los Angeles fairgrounds (known as the Fairplex) after being evacuated from a ranch threatened by a wildfire burning near Glendora, Calif. More horses are expected to be removed from the fire zone, according a Fairplex representative.
Lt. Matt Williams, of the Glendora Police Department, said his department received several phone calls reporting a fire in the Los Angeles County foothills at about 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 16. Glendora Police personnel, along with personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department, responded to blaze.
