Appaloosa Horse Club

Equine enthusiasts and nearly 700 of the Nation’s most colorful Appaloosa horses came together June 22 – July 4 in Fort Worth, Texas at the Will Rogers Memorial Center for an exciting gathering hosted by the Appaloosa Horse Club.

The annual 13-day event showcased talented Appaloosas and exhibitors, who competed for amazing prizes and prestigious titles in over 200 classes. Classes offered included Cattle, Western, English, Jumping, Games and Halter disciplines. Some of the equine industry’s toughest competitions are uniquely Appaloosa, events such as the Rope Race and the horse-against-horse Nez Perce Stake Races are always among the crowd favorites!

Challenged Rider Class

CHAPS Challenged Rider Class

In addition to spectacular classes, some of the most coveted honors in the Appaloosa industry were awarded at the 68th National Appaloosa Show & 2015 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show; including Champion Cattle Horse, Western Horse, English Horse, Games Horse, and numerous high-point awards for both Youth and Non-Pro exhibitors.

The ApHC proudly hosted, in conjunction with the America Paint Horse Association, a number of classes for Youth of all ages to participate in. Classes such as Shankless Showmanship, the Versatility Challenge, and the coveted Champion of Champions class provided a unique opportunity for Appaloosa and Paint Youth to compete head to head.

New this year was the introduction of the CHAPS (Challenged Horsemen and Appaloosa Competition for Independent and Supported Exhibitors) classes during the 2015 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show, which proved to be a tremendous opportunity for the participants to be recognized and celebrated for their successes at the World level.
