You know a good thing when you see it, and the return of the Cowtown Reining Classic is definitely a good thing. The folks at Tenda Horse Products and FarmPaint.com think so too, and they’ve signed on to sponsor the 2023 Cowtown Reining Classic, upping the total added money to $100,000.

The 2023 Cowtown Reining Classic, presented by Tenda Horse Products and FarmPaint.com, takes place June 27-30 at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s one of the Top 25 richest reining competitions on the National Reining Horse Association calendar, and the world’s richest Paint reining to boot.

  • $100,000 added overall

  • $12,700 added for NRHA All-Breed Classes

  • $87,300 in added money just for Paints (Regular Registry & Solid Paint-Bred)

Tenda Horse Products and FarmPaint.com have consistently provided support to the reining world since a sister company, ThorSport Farm, trained its focus on reining several years ago. The farm breeds, trains, shows and owns several reining stallions, including Turn Down For What (QH), Smart Cowboy Whiz (QH) and APHA stallion No Smoking Required, who is co-owned by Schmersal Reining Horses. The farm is also home to Jake Ballard Reining Horses.

“The Cowtown Reining Classic gives Tenda Horse Products a great opportunity to help support everyone who works so hard to compete in the sport they love,” said Dave Cowan, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Our products are formulated for the needs of horses involved in the type of rigorous training and competition that come with reining, so this event provides an ideal platform to showcase our brand.”

“Our involvement in the Cowtown Reining Classic gives FarmPaint.com the opportunity to give back to the people of the reining and Paint Horse communities who support us,” said Lori Douglass, FarmPaint.com national sales manager. “The event places our brand in front of people who need FarmPaint.com’s high-quality coatings to beautify and protect their barns, fences, outbuildings and other agricultural structures.”

The Cowtown Reining Classic, presented by Tenda Horse Products and FarmPaint.com, takes place in conjunction with the APHA World Championship Show. In addition to world championship classes for APHA-registered reiners, including events for Youth age 18 and under that pay out up to four scholarships worth $1,275 total in every Youth world championship class, the Cowtown Reining Classic will feature:
