2022 California Championship Show Sells Out & is The Largest AQHA Ranch & Rail Show In California

WE DID IT! The 2022 California Championship show was once again the largest AQHA Ranch & Rail show in California. Classes were large and the competition tough as exhibitors competed from all over the West Coast for this memorable show and vied for the $500/$300 Gift Cards, silver buckles, silver prizes and so much more. Thank you to the incredible staff – Heidi Lane, show secretary,  Casey Devitt, show manager, plus our esteemed judges, scribes, announcers and gate heroes for making this show a huge success. A special call out to the Paso Robles Event Center, Tisha Tucker and Grady Gallagher for the beautiful facility and care they gave to the facility, our exhibitors and the horses. With almost 400 stalls we exceeded all our goals and are excited to have a successful AQHA show on the West Coast.

Even with extreme heat conditions, over 400 horses competed for big prizes, including $500 Champion and $300 Reserve Champion High Point Pattern & Ranch Pattern Gift Cards, Best All Breed Walk-Trot Pattern & Ranch Pattern prizes that included beautiful silver buckles and ranch headstalls, gift cards and so much more! In addition, we awarded 10 Rail All-Arounds, plus 10 Ranch All Around a Feature page story in the Pacific Coast Journal, along with gift cards for photography from show photographer, Lee Locke, and PCQHA bridle and garment bags. We also awarded over 150 beautiful Chippendale Silver platters for Champions and Reserve Champions. And of course – neck ribbons to all champions!

We are grateful to exhibitors, trainers and owners, along with our amazing list of sponsors who showed up and supported this West Coast favorite show. You see, the show is a California show – and most of our sponsors are from California. We all want Quarter Horses in California to grow. Who doesn’t love supporting a BIG show in their home state of California?

California horse people attended the California Championship show from all parts of the West Coast and even though the temperature heated up – they showed hard and proved why so many champions come from the West Coast. New for this year were the added ranch classes and All Breed Youth and Amateur Walk-Trot classes – which were huge! We also were excited to see large Ranch and Rail classes in all divisions. The competition proved tough, but the exhibitors rode well and won big at this show. Congratulations, everyone!
