2022 AQHA VRH World Championship Schedule

The AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships; AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals; AQHA Level 1 Cattle Championships, presented by the Four Sixes Ranch; and National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance National Championship Show are slated for June 20-25 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. More than $250,000 in purse and prizes will be awarded over the six-day event as the nation’s top ranch horses and exhibitors will be recognized.

The tentative schedule is now available online at www.aqha.com/versatility. The tentative schedule is subject to change based upon entry numbers.

Qualifying was reinstated for the 2022 event. Specific requirements can be viewed here. Entry information will be released at later date.

Exhibitors can compete in the individual VRH classes or for the all-around Versatility Ranch Horse world championship titles in nine divisions at the 2022 AQHA VRH World. AQHA will crown junior, senior, cowboy, amateur, limited amateur, Rookie amateur, youth, limited youth and Rookie youth all-around world champions during the show. Exhibitors are also encouraged to compete for NRSHA National Championship honors across a full slate of individual classes, held concurrently with VRH classes. All-around NRSHA National Championship titles will be presented to eligible NRSHA exhibitors, as well.

To be eligible for the 2022 AQHA RHC Finals and $36,000 in added money, horses must be fully enrolled in the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge program and qualified for this year’s show. For more information about the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenges, visit www.aqha.com/ranching.

The Level 1 Cattle Championships will offer cutting, boxing, working cow horse, heading, heeling, tie-down roping, breakaway roping and ranch riding. Ranch riding will also be offered at all Level 1 Championships; however, exhibitors can only compete in ranch riding at one of the Level 1 Championships. To be eligible to enter, an exhibitor must be Level 1-eligible in the class they wish to enter as of the previous year, January 1, 2021. Read more about leveling at www.aqha.com/leveling.

Additionally, AQHA Top Ranching Heritage-Bred Horse Awards will be presented to the owners of the overall highest-placing Ranching Heritage-bred horses at the AQHA VRH World, Level 1 Cattle Championships (amateur and youth) and NRSHA National Championship Show. Owners will receive $250 and a specially created ranch horse trophy, and the breeders of these winning horses also will receive $250.

The AQHA VRH World combines four premiere ranch horse events into one: the AQHA VRH World; AQHA RHC Finals; AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships, presented by the Four Sixes Ranch; and NRSHA National Championship Show. This prestigious show draws ranch horse competitors from around the globe to the Lazy E Arena each June to crown nine AQHA VRH world champions among other top AQHA RHC Finals, Cattle Level 1 and NRSHA National Championships  in addition to awarding approximately $250,000 in purse and prizes.
