The Ohio Quarter Horse Association’s Congress Tri-Chairmen and Sale Committee decided to proceed with the 2020 Super Sale in an online platform this past August, after the cancellation of the 2020 All American Quarter Horse Congress.
Mike Jennings of Professional Horse Services, LLC, said, “There was a record number of registered bidders at 739 and a record number of page views for our internet auction site at 401,416 when the auction closed for the 2020 Congress Super Sale.”
The Overall High-Seller and Super Session High-Selling Horse for the 2020 Congress Super Sale was Good Luck Girl, a 2005 mare consigned by Amy Gumz of Kentucky that sold for $50,000 to Jessica Alleman of Ohio.
The 2020 Congress Super Sale Western Pleasure Yearling Sale Stakes High-Seller was Willie Nille, a 2019 mare consigned by North Farm and Roger Landis of Ohio that sold for $22,500 to Kelley Spencer of Kentucky.
In the Hunter Under Saddle Yearling Sale Stakes, the High-Seller was Al Red E Addicted, a 2019 mare consigned by Josh Faulkner of Kentucky. The mare sold for $15,600 to Wendy Laesch of Indiana.
There were 109 horses in the 2020 Congress Super Sale for a Gross of $957,300 (including no sales) for an average price of $8,946.73. The actual sales were 73 horses for $591,500, with an average sale price of $8,102.74.
In the 2020 Western Pleasure Yearling Stakes Session, there were 59 horses with a total of 57 through the auction. The 2020 gross was $528,700 (including no sales) for an average price of $7,726.31. The actual sales were 35 horses for $265,800, with an average sale price of $7,594.29.
For the 2020 Hunter Under Saddle Yearling Stakes Sessions, 19 horses went through the auction. The 2020 gross was $146,800 (including no sales) for an average price of $7,526.08. The 2020 actual sales were ten total horses for $78,400, with an average of $7,840.00.
In the 2020 Super Session, there were a total of 31 horses through the auction. The 2020 Gross was $281,800 (including no sales) with an average price of $9,090.32. The actual sales were 28 total horses for $247,300, with an average of $8,832.14.
The 2020 Blair Folck Memorial Leading Consignor Award, sponsored by FarmVet, was awarded to North Farm / Roger Landis, Agent, North Lawrence, Ohio. The gross sales equaled $70,300.
