The 2020 AQHA Convention isn’t just about rule making. The Association is also offering a full day of education for all convention attendees on Friday, March 13. The Equine Industry Business Workshop is 8:30 a.m. to noon and the Town Hall Meetings kick off at 1 p.m.
Equine Industry Business Workshop
Here are this year’s Equine Industry Business Workshop topics:
Join AQHA from 1 to 2 p.m. for a presentation from the members of the AQHLead Class of 2020 about their travel to major AQHA events, interacting with mentors and monthly calls with industry leaders.
At 2:30 p.m., Chief Revenue Officer John Lutz and Editor Emeritus Jim Jennings will unveil the redesigned and reimagined American Quarter Horse Journal.
Show Secretary Forum
AQHA is also hosting a Show Secretary Forum from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 13, at the 2020 AQHA Convention. This forum is an opportunity for certified show secretaries to receive additional training on features available within the AQHA technology platforms to make the administration of AQHA-approved shows more efficient and to share best practices among colleagues. The session is available by invitation and will also be recorded and shared on AQHUniversity for all approved managers and secretaries to review after convention.
Fabulous Foundation Party and American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Banquet
Convention isn’t just about education and rules, attendees are also invited to attend the Fabulous Foundation Party at 6:30 p.m. on March 14. Put on your blue suede shoes and enjoy food and music by Pat Green at the Elvis-themed event. Admission is $25 and proceeds benefit the American Quarter Horse Foundation.
Be sure to also purchase your ticket for the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Banquet at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, which honors the Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Read more about the inductees.
