ApHC News

If your stallion was used for ApHC breeding purposes in 2020, we encourage you to take advantage of on-time member fees for filing stallion breeding reports; $30 plus $5 per mare. Membership of the stallion owner is required to file reports at member rates. Avoid paying late filing fees by having your stallion breeding report postmarked by November 30, 2020. Late reports, postmarked after November 30 of the breeding year, will be charged a late filing fee of $50 in addition to on-time filing fees.

  • Include all mares exposed to your stallion, including your own, and include all mares exposed to transported semen whether or not the mare conceived.
  • File a separate report for each stallion for each year.
  • All stallions by submission of a stallion breeding report for any breeding year must have DNA results on file with the ApHC.

Owners of ApHC-Registered Stallions Can File Their Annual Stallion Breeding Report Online

Owners of ApHC registered stallions have the opportunity to file their ApHC registered stallion’s annual breeding reports online. Reports started from the online reporting program will require fees to be paid from the online reporting system by credit card. Membership of the stallion owner is required to pay member fees. Agents filing reports for stallion owners from the online reporting system must make sure the recorded owner of the stallion is a current member with the ApHC.

  • Go to www.appaloosa.com
  • Log into the “Members Only” section
  • Select the “My Stallion Reports” menu option
  • Click on the “Create New Stallion Breeding Report” button and enter the requested information

To update, delete, or add information to a report that has already been created:

  • Click on the “Edit Report” link next to the open report that you wish to change
  • Look for listings: 1) Open Reports and 2) Submitted Reports

1) Open Reports are stallion breeding reports that you are currently entering but have not completed or submitted. You have an ability to enter breeding information throughout the year and the system will retain all information. Just remember to submit the report prior to the November 30th deadline so late fees will not be incurred!

2) Submitted Reports are reports that you have submitted online to the ApHC for approval. Once your online stallion breeding report has been verified as being correctly filed it will be uploaded for you to view via the Web.
