With only 100 days with which to train their animals, these horsemen and women will astound fans with the skills and talents of their formerly wild horses. Trainers hail from across the nation from California to Connecticut, with two from North Texas including Ginger Duke of Springtown, TX and Riva England of Caddo Mills, TX. Also returning will be 2018 Champion Cavin Graham of Lafayette, Georgia.

At the 2019 Jr American Semi-Finals taking place February 27 – March 3, APHA will offer a $2,500 bonus to the highest placing Paint Horse. In addition, there will be a $2,500 bonus to the highest advancing Paint Horse to the American Semi-Finals.

Horse language is typically subtle. Ever notice how one horse can move the others away from a food source in the paddock simply with a look? Humans do not always pick up on this subtle body language. A cranky look with flattened ears when an ill-fitting saddle is applied often goes missed or dismissed. A horse that resorts to kicking may be turning up the volume on signals that have been ignored for quite some time. So we need to ask ourselves, does this horse kick for no reason?
