Sunny, Del Mar, California, was the site of the 2019 Sun and Surf Circuit, May 16-19, which provided AQHA exhibitors with the opportunity to compete in six AQHA shows over four days. The event also hosted NSBA Futurity classes with $7,000 added money. Judges for the show were Sissy Anderson, Elizabeth Baker, Buddy Fisher, Mike Hay, Brad Jewett, Will Knabenshue, Mark Russell, Janet Wilson, and Daren Wright.
Mylie Parker rode RL A Chip Affair to win Youth 11 and Under High Point. The Reserve High Point was Anabelle Hulbert with Chip Moves Me. The Youth Level 1 Champion was Lauren Blumer with Lazy Lopin Ranger. Reserve was Sydney Sisil with Radical N Style. The Youth 18 and Under Champion was Jacqueline Potwora with The Absolute Best. Reserve was Kaitlyn Bloom with A Flashy Invitation.
The Amateur Level 1 Champion was Samantha Floyd with Dark By Moonlite. Reserve was Megan Avidano with Only A Show Off. The Amateur Champion was Lauren Stanley with Extremely Good Stuff. Reserve was Amy Groefsema with My Dream Remembered. The Select Champion was Dan Yeager with Cracking The Code. Reserve was Kent Ray Taylor with Don’t Think Twice. The Super Select Champion was Kathy Tobin with RA Undisputed. Reserve was Stephanie Anderson with Sol De Conquistador.
The Open Level 1 Champion was Good Vibez for Marjorie Parks. The Junior Horse Champion was KM Flat Out The Best for Susie Johns. Reserve was Cool Cruzen Lady for Diamond Ranch, LLC. The Senior Horse Champion was Zippin A Breeze for Susan Knapp. Reserve was Hereicomagain for Kathy Tobin.
