The 2018 AQHA Select World Championship Show just wrapped up its final year in Amarillo, Texas, crowning numerous familiar faces and a few new ones as well.

Laurel Champlin rode her 2007 gelding, Look N Hott to win Hunt Seat Equitation. The Reserve Champion was CeCe Campbell with Creepin In My Sleep. Third was Anne Wilson with Give Me The Goods.

Sandra Morgan rode Willy In The Sky to win Hunter Under Saddle. The Reserve Champion and L2 Champion was Tammy Thompson Dyer with A Boy Named Hoo. Third was Laurel Champlin with Look N Hott. Pam Stubbs rode Doyou Have Themagic to win Hunter Hack, Working Hunter, and Equitation Over Fences. The Reserve Hunter Hack Champion was Lori McCarty with Rythmic Blues. Third was Ann Manion with IE Lukin.

Angela Casey Dillahunty rode Won RV Ridin Machine to win Showmanship. The Reserve Champion was Dan Yeager with Cracking The Code. Third was Renee Howes with Sippinonmonshine. Gary Holme and Come N Get Ya Some won Trail. The Reserve Champion was Vickie Kent with Won Lopin RV Machine. Third was Debra Craig with PF Put It In Park.

Dan Yeager and Cracking The Code won Horsemanship. The Reserve Champion was Lisa Neiberger with No Question I’m Lazy. Third was Laina Banks with Strawberri Wine. Marilyn Masterson and KM Weknowsheshot won Western Pleasure. The Reserve Champion was Linda Neece with For One Night Only. Third was Debby Brehm with Whatilikeaboutyou. The L2 Champion was Betty Jo Carr with OHK Goodbars Krymsun. The Reserve Champion was Paula Croix with Hez Rated R. Third was Daniel Henson with Huntin Big Dreams.

Lori Bucholz

Laina Banks and Strawberri Wine won Western Riding. The Reserve Champion was Kathy Tobin with RA Undisputed. Third was Susie Johns with Lopin For A Chex. Lori Bucholz and Larks Happy Days won Pleasure Driving. The Reserve Champion was Cathy Corrigan Franks with Living Large. Third was Lin Johnson with PR The Green Bay.

The AQHA Select All-Around was Jim Bound with Bound To Be Dun, who he showed to win Tie-Down Roping and Heading, in addition to placing third in Stake Race, Breakaway, and Heeling. In addition, Jim rode another horse, Bound To Paint Chex, to win the Reserve All-Around title by being named the Reserve World Champions in Breakaway Roping, third in Heading, fourth in Tie Down, and eighth in Stake Race.

Coming in third was Lisa Neiberger with No Question Im Lazy. Lisa and her gelding were the Reserve Champions in Horsemanship, as well as sixth in Showmanship, and Performance Halter. Fourth overall was Laina Banks with Strawberri Wine. Fifth was Vickie Kent with Won Lopin RV Machine.

Marilyn and Ken Masterson

The Gene Graves Super-Select Award went to the exhibitor over the age of 70 who earned the most points at the show. The winner was Butch Morgan with SF Check Me Out. The Nutrena Senior Athletes of the Show were Susan Olson and WW Lad. They received this award for having the highest combined age at the show.
