c6afd582-868a-40da-8c6a-a46d87c944f4The 2017 Midwest Horse Fair will astonish audiences with two exhilarating evening shows, The Epic Night of the Horse™ and the PRCA Rodeo. The PRCA Rodeo, presented by Nutrena, will take place on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the Blain’s Farm & Fleet Coliseum. Audiences can expect more bulls, broncs, barrels, and roping than ever before! The rodeo will feature the seven standard rodeo events: bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. Barnes PRCA Rodeo, the longest family-run rodeo business in the U.S. with over 60 years’ rodeo experience, will produce the competition. Thrills, spills, and world class comedy and entertainment will be enjoyed by all in attendance.

Keith Isley will draw laughs as the 2017 Rodeo Clown. Keith started his rodeo career in 1972 at the age of fifteen when he competed in the junior rodeo division as a participant in bareback riding and bull riding events. He started work as a contract performer, but because he was shy, large audiences intimidated him. However, Keith later discovered that wearing baggy pants and make-up put him more at ease before spectators. Slowly but surely, Keith ventured into comedy and started telling jokes and performing clown acts. Today, his comedy routines consist of trick roping, high impact-low impact aerobic workout, various animal routines, and trick riding. Keith has won several prestigious awards from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association such as “Clown of the Year,” “Specialty Act of the Year,” “Comedy Act of the Year.”

Midwest Horse Fair RodeoThe Epic Night of the Horse™ will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the Blain’s Farm & Fleet Coliseum. Fourteen Midwest Horse Fair Star Search finalists, five from the Open Division, five from the Youth Division and four from the newly added Wild Card Division will contend. Audiences won’t be able to look away, because on this legendary evening, onlookers will do more than observe.
