Who’s excited for the upcoming Dixie National Quarter Horse Show?! If you’re planning to attend the 50th anniversary that will take place in Jackson, Mississippi, February 16-22, you might want to take a look at the health requirements for equine competitors.
“The Dixie National Quarter Horse Show requires that all horses entering the Mississippi Fairgrounds, (including those from Mississippi) that are 12 months of age or older must have and present a negative EIA (Coggins) report and a 30 day Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Health Certificate).”
“(ORIGINAL COPY OF HEALTH CERTIFICATE ONLY, PHOTOCOPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED). Certificates will be checked by the MS. Board of Animal Health at the livestock gate (Gate 14). No canine animals will be allowed inside buildings on the fairgrounds.”
