Madden (Cazenovia, N.Y.), who won the top honor in 2005 and 2006 as well, earned the 2013 USEF Equestrian of the Year title after a campaign that saw her win at nearly every turn. The morning will start with a panel of top competitors from WEG disciplines, including endurance rider Meg Sleeper, combined driving/dressage rider Sara Schmitt, reiner Matthew Palmer, and eventer Carol Kozlowski, with another rider to be announced from jumping. They will discuss their beginnings, ways for interested riders to get started in their disciplines, trials and tribulations of competing at an elite level, and of course they will be open to questions from the audience.

The seven competitors have spent the past 12 months building a relationship with their selected partner in preparation for the Wild Card competition at the March event.
