2013 NRHA European Derby & Pre Futurity Open & Non Pro Qualifying Go-Round

September 12, 2013 – Manerbio, Italy – NRHA press release by: Simona Diale – Riding Sabine Lisec and Chuck Klipfel’s Start A Revolution, a stallion by Einsteins Revolution and out of Plenty Of Rest (by Custom Crome), Sylvia Rzepka of Germany won the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Pre Futurity Level (L) 4 Open with a score of 218.

“This is probably one of the most talented horses I have ever ridden,” said a smiling Sylvia about her mount, bred by Wagman, Ranch Inc., with whom she recently won the Austrian Reining Horse Association Futurity L4 Open. Start A Revolution was purchased by Sylvia at the 2012 NRHA / Markel Insurance Futurity Prospect Sale (consigned by Wagman Ranch).

The reserve championship, a half a point behind the winners, went to another Lisec/Klipfel owned horse, This Wimpys So Fly (Wimpys Little Step x Fly Flashy Jac), between the reins of NRHA Professional Cody Sapergia.

Taking home the Pre Futurity L2 Open title, after posting a 215.5, was Italian Mirko Piazzi riding VR Great Spark, an own son of Jacs Electric Spark, bred and owned by Vittorio Rabboni. The pair also placed third in the L4 Open.

Taking second place honors in the L2 Open with a 215 were Pierluigi Fabbri BB Scenic Gunlady (by Spooks Gotta Gun) owned by Alessandro Maioli and Luca Righi.

The NRHA European Non Pro Pre Futurity

Young Manuel Cortesi of Italy earned the co-championship in the Pre Futurity Non Pro L4 with his two mounts. Riding his MP Custom Be Sweet, a stallion by Custom Pistol and out of Olena Pride, and his mare PC Galina Rooster (Ricochet Rooster x Lady Skinsail), Cortesi posted the same score, a 215.5. “This is the first real show for both my horses. I’m really happy with both of them, and I look forward to showing them at the NRHA of Germany Breeders Futurity and at the Italian Futurity.”

 

cortesi_both Claiming third place honors in the L4 Non Pro and winning the L2 Non Pro was Elena Kompatscher riding her father’s Lenas Little Tangy (Justa Little Tangy x Dolomithic). Aboard the pretty mare bred by Melitta Stuflesser, Elena scored a 213.5. The L2 reserve championship, with a score of 211.5, went to Edoardo Bernardelli riding Genuine Big Chex (Big Chex To Cash x Last Genuine Pine).
