The American Quarter Horse Association is excited to offer additional opportunities to showcase 3-year-old American Quarter Horses at the Farnam AQHA World Championship Show and AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), which is slated for October 27 – November 19 to the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.
In addition to the $5,000-added 3-year-old western pleasure stakes, held in previous years, sponsored by VS Code Red and VS Flatline, AQHA is also offering the following new stakes classes:
These stakes classes will prominently highlight young equine athletes and give a look at what the future may be for them, which is of interest to owners, exhibitors and prospective buyers.
No qualification is required to compete in the 3-year-old stakes classes. Enter today using the online entry form. The entry deadline is 5 p.m. Central on September 20; there are also two late-entry options available through October 1 and October 10 with a late fee.
Exhibitors will declare which level they will compete in to determine payouts. Each stakes class will be run concurrently with Level 2 and Level 3, if 20 or fewer total horses entered at the time the class is drawn. If more than 20 horses are entered at the time the class is drawn, the class will be split into Level 2 and Level 3 entries. In both cases, Level 2 and Level 3 placings and payouts will be separate. Entry fees will accrue directly to the purses of Level 2 or Level 3 entries.
