17 Top Competitors Gather For Big A Non-Pro Trail Derby- Big Winners Are Ammons, Lofton-Morgan, and Saul

17 of the best trail competitors in the country came together last night in Conyers, Georgia for the Big A Non-Pro Trail Derby. This event was sanctioned by the National Quarter Horse League and provided a $1,500 purse that was paid out to the top eight competitors. Additional prizes were awarded to the top twelve to ensure that no-one rode away empty-handed.
Just a few days earlier, the Big A Open Trail Derby paid out $2,500 to the top riders. Taking home a big chunk of that purse was Bruce Vickery with In Prinzziples Image.
Last night, Caroline Ammons piloted Ginnin to a win in the Non-Pro Trail Derby winning $450. The team received a combined score of 244, with an 81, 81.5, and 81.5 under judges Murray Griggs, Judd Paul, and Karen Graham, respectively.

Coming in a close second was Brittany Lofton Morgan with Little Bit Western. They scored a 237 and received a check for $330. Rounding out the top three was Hayley Saul with Eyed Be In A Jam. They scored a combined total of 234 to receive a $225 check.
Fourth place was Ellee McDaniel aboard Ima Tuff Barpasser scoring a 233. Fifth place was Lexie Lane with ItsAmazing scoring a 230.5.
In addition to witnessing stellar trail competition on a tough course set by Tim “The Trail Man” Kimura, spectators also enjoyed a full Trail Derby Candy Buffett courtesy of All That Show Clothing.
