The Equine Chronicle Ranch Horse Showdown was a huge hit over the weekend at the IQHA Fall Classic Futurity in Des Moines, Iowa with 17 entries! During the competition, exhibitors showed in their respective AQHA Ranch Riding classes, followed by Ranch Horse Pleasure and Conformation.
“We wanted to have something fun for the Ranch Riding exhibitors, and this event was it,” Jennifer Sheriff says. “There was lots of excitement, and plenty of spectators came to watch. We had two goes of the class showing to six judges.”
“In the Ranch Pleasure class, exhibitors were asked to extend all three gaits: the walk, the trot, and the lope. Then, exhibitors lined up and dropped their saddles and showed the Ranch Conformation class in their bridles. We’re very pleased with the turnout, and we’re already planning for next year!”
