There has been an update in the case of the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old American Quarter Horse named Apache Sunrise. Various news reports indicate that both the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture- Criminal Division and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are looking into the stabbing death of the horse that took place sometime between May 17th and May 18th, as the horse was discovered dead on May 18th at 6:00 am.
A note updated on the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association Facebook page indicated that the reward amount has been raised from $2,000 to $14,000. Tips may be directed to Colonel Jerry Flowers Chief Agent Investigating Officer (405-317-or owner Hugh Branscum (405-823-3296).
