The 51st annual Pinto World Championship show kicked off yesterday at the Built Ford Livestock Complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Competitors from all over the globe have gathered for the largest Pinto event in the world and the opportunity to compete for world titles in events ranging from Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and Horsemanship to Western Dressage, Jumping In Hand, and Bareback Equitation.
Judges for the Pinto World Show are Mario Boisjoli, Butch Carse, Cindy Chilton-Moore, Delena Doyle, Jan Dublin, Gary Hersom, Eric Hubbard, Sid Hutchcraft, Myron Krause, Mark Kuhlwein, Chuck Mangan, Bonnie Miller, Cindy Rucker, Margo Shallcross, Mike Short, Mark Smith, Chris Strine, Curt Summers, Nancy Wilde, Judy Wright, and Susan Posner.
The largest class on tap for the horse show will be YA Sr – Western Showmanship, ST/HN Type Horse with 52 entries scheduled!
In addition to all the equine competition there are several fun events planned like the Costume Class, Dog Show, Pinto Heritage Fundraiser, Challenged Rider’s Leadline, Versatility, and the third annual Youth Judging Contest, which took place yesterday.
“The Pinto Horse Association is thrilled to see the PWC grow each year,” says Darrell Bilke, PtHA Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “I look forward to seeing great competition and everyone having a great time at our special events.”
Competitors and spectators are invited to browse the merchandise available at more than 50 vendors in the PWC Market Place. Vendors will display their wares like clothing, tack, home decor, and equine products and services.
Coming up be sure to attend the Veterans Appreciation Reception on Tuesday, June 14th as well as the Pinto Heritage Foundation Fundraiser sponsored by Lopez Foods and Ice Cream Social. The Pinto World Show is also holding an art contest from June 14-23 with two divisions: Youth and Adult. Daily prizes and an overall prize will be awarded.
