While the majority of the country is shut in with snow, ice, sleet, and freezing temperatures, things are quickly heating up in Missouri, as the 10th anniversary of the March To The Arch kicks off today in Lake St. Louis. The 2015 MTTA will continue through March 1st with judges Andrea Simons, Dean Bogart, Mark Russell, Daren Wright, Keith Miller, Jessica Gilliam, Scott Neuman, Larry Hansch, Chris Thompson, and Shawn Hays all donating their time to the charitable event.
Over the past ten years, the MTTA has raised nearly $500,000 that has been donated to further their mission of “loping and leading for a cure” for cancer. The recipient of funds raised this year will be Children’s Hospital of St. Louis.
Thursday’s classes kicked off bright and early this morning as competitors enjoyed Robert Dehn-designed Trail courses in the back arena. Green Trail just concluded with more than 30 entries! Results are as follows:

At noon, AQHA Equestrians With Disabilities classes, Western Pleasure, and Horsemanship will begin in the main arena.
Tomorrow evening, the mane event will take place, the new “Ladies and Men’s Western Pleasure.” Just like in year’s past, Champion and Reserve Champion Best Costume awards will be presented by Mid Rivers Equine. The MTTA Exhibitors’ Party will include the always popular Silent and Live Auction and Cancer Survivor Recognition Ceremony.
Much of the funds donated to charity are raised during the live and silent auction, so be sure to give all you can. Over the past few weeks, we have been profiling some of the great items that will be up for grabs on Friday night. Check out the links below.
