Today’s main event at the SOQHA Madness was The Equine Chronicle Novice Horse Western Pleasure that awarded a whopping $15,000 check to the champion. 14 entries were shown and the judges- Jon Barry, Garth Gooding, Sara Simons, and Rhonda Replogle- determined that Katy Jo Zuidema with Knockin It Out should be crowned the winners. Katy Jo was in the saddle today for owner, Kathryn Frederick.
The Reserve Champion and winner of $7,500 was Aaron Moses with Snap It Send It for Kent Ray Taylor. Third was Kelby Hutchinson with Don’t Know Don’t Care, winning $5,000 for Capall Creek Farm. Fourth was Casey Willis with KM Betcha Im Best, winning $3,500 for Jaida Dreyer. Fifth was Brian Baker with Moonlite Imagination, winning $3,000 for Nick Weiss.
Sixth was Angie Cannizzaro with Chasing Butterflies, winning $2,500 for Scott and Linda Berwick. Seventh was Tim Zuidema with Shootin The Breeze, winning $1,750 for Kathryn Frederick. Also seventh was Brian Cox with Metamorphic, winning $1,750 for Tammy Conroy. Ninth was Amanda Jackson with Mr Freeze, for Looney Quarter Horses. Also ninth was Randy Wilson with Extra Dirty Martini, for Jennifer Moreau.
Eleventh was Kenny Lakins with Shadesofbattelicious for Natasha Ordoff. Twelfth was Jamie Zuidema with Takealitleridewithme for Reagan Schwartz. Thirteenth was Christina Brantner with PSU Certain Hope for Penny Osburn. Fourteenth was Darci Ann Rapley with Shez Gotawaybout Her for Lindie Blackwell.
The Intermediate Champion was Kelby Hutchinson with Don’t Know Don’t Care. The Reserve Champion was Brian Cox with Metamorphic. Third was Amanda Jackson with Mr Freeze. Fourth was Jamie Zuidema with Takealitleridewithme.
