Tulsa, Okla. – The second annual youth judging contest will be held June 7, 2015 at the Ford Truck Arena. The event will take place right before the Pinto World Championship, June 8-20, 2015, located at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex in Tulsa, Okla. This event is open to all youth, 18 and under.
The Judging Contest will be divided between Junior and Senior divisions. The Senior division will consist of youth 14-18 years old. The Junior division will consist of youth 13 years old and under. Junior and Senior contestants may combine to form a Mixed-Age team, but contestants must compete in the Senior division and for Senior individual awards. Contestants who have competed on, or are members of an intercollegiate horse judging team are ineligible to compete.
Contestants will have the opportunity to defend their placings in the reasons room after evaluating selected performance classes. Performance classes will be chosen from Western Pleasure, Reining, Hunter Under Saddle/English Pleasure, Hunter Hack, Trail, Western Riding, and Western Horsemanship and/or Hunt Seat Equitation. Halter classes will not include stallions. There will be no ponies, miniature horses or utility horses in the Halter or Performance classes.
Awards for the Youth Judging Contest include: Horse Trophy and Tioga Territory Jackets for the Overall Team competing in the Senior Division and the Overall Team competing in the Junior Division. Overall Individual awards in both Junior and Senior Classes will receive a Tioga Territory Jacket. Other Judging Contest winners will receive plaques.

The entry fee is $100 per team of four or $25 per individual. Entries are due May 8th. A coaches’ meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6 in the Ford Livestock Arena. Entry forms can be found at pintoworld.com
