Last year, the Fun In The Sun Extravaganza awarded $36,000 in money and prizes, which was paid to riders at the gate. This year, exhibitors will be competing for $50,000 in money and prizes!
The 2015 Fun In The Sun Extravaganza will take place January 12-13 in picturesque Venice, Florida. The stand-alone NSBA-approved event welcomes all breeds to compete in the sunshine and sand of south Florida at Fox Lea Farms. A Welcome BBQ Party will kick off the show on Monday.
Several new classes will be offered this year including Novice Select Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, and Trail. Also, the Walk Trot division is back with fancy High Point buckles!
The Fox Lea Farm Winter Circuit hosted more than 6,000 total entries last year. With a brand new schedule this year, entry numbers are expected to increase. The show will take place January 8-10 and 14-16, also in Venice.
Great High Point prizes will be awarded this year like ATV’s! The new class schedule will include the addition of Rookie Youth and Rookie Amateur Working Hunter, Equitation Over Fences, and Hunter Hack classes.
A Welcome Party and Draw Presentation for the National Quarter Horse League Huntfield Derby Finals will take place Wednesday, January 6th. Stay tuned for more details about the NQHL Derby Finals coming soon.
