Ever thought of holding an AQHA-sanctioned show and want more in-depth information about the ins and outs of show management? How about just sharpening your management skills for existing shows? By attending AQHA’s show management workshop on December 12-13 in Irving, Texas, you can do just that!
Patti Carter, AQHA director of shows and Professional Horsemen, and Melynda Ackley, AQHA manager of competition operations, will teach this in-depth workshop, which will take a deeper look into marketing, promoting, organizing and managing AQHA shows.
There will be a special workshop for people who are new to show management. Show Management 101 Workshop will be held prior to the AQHA Show Management Workshop on December 12, and the workshop offers details on holding an AQHA-sanctioned show and learning the roles of show management. Both workshops are great opportunities to review new rules and procedures for the upcoming year.
Registration for the show management workshop is $155. An additional $25 registration fee applies if you wish to attend the Show Management 101 Workshop. AQHA workshop registration fees are non-refundable. Bring your laptop and a copy of any entry forms you have used and would like to share with others.
Make your reservation early as space is limited. Reservations to attend this workshop must be booked in advance by submitting the form to Valerie Smith by November 19. You may submit by email to valeries@aqha.org or by fax at 806-378-4675.
