WCHA Breeder’s Championship Futurity Moves to Springfield, IL for 2016

November 5, 2015, Sheffield, Iowa – The World Conformation Horse Association has chosen Springfield, Illinois as the host city for the WCHA Breeder’s Championship Futurity September 23-25, 2016. The WCHA Futurity will still be held in conjunction with the Big Money Futurity.

“We are pleased to announce, that after listening to our exhibitors, the WCHA Breeder’s Futurity Committee has given much time and consideration to determining the location and dates for the 2016 WCHA Futurity. We determined it was in the best interest of all to move the Futurity to Springfield, Illinois,” says Greg Holden, World Conformation Horse Association President. “Much time and effort has been spent by The WCHA Breeder’s Committee to help grow and improve our industry, and we think a more central location will impact the growth of the WCHA Conformation Futurity & WCHA Ranch Horse programs, introduced in 2015.”

The WCHA Futurity program is open to AQHA, APHA, PHBA, ABRA & ApHC Stallions. Any weanling and yearling offspring by 2016 WCHA Futurity Enrolled Stallions will be eligible to show.

“We look forward to this new venue and all it has to offer with the history of successful futurities. We all remember the days of the Solid Gold Futurity and hope we can in some way capture the participation and enthusiasm of day’s past,” Holden says. Be sure to mark your calendars with the Futurity dates, September 23-25, 2016, as well as the stallion enrollments, mare enrollments and entry deadlines.
