The Washington State Quarter Horse Association hosted a ranch riding specialty event April 20 and 21 in Monroe, WA. The club and a generous sponsor, Stephanie Hodge Burns, put together a “kids ride free” component to the show. Youth only had to pay their AQHA fees.
The purpose of the event was to generate interest in ranch riding, and it was wildly successful, says Ranch Riding Chairman Sally Saur.

From WSQHA:
WSQHA made a commitment about 5 years ago during a board meeting to explore ranch riding branching out to its own event – and wow, was it worth it! ❤️ The Ranch Committee committed their time and resources to ensure a successful event. If you see them, thank them for volunteering.
20 youth participated with our sponsored stalls and entries funded by last year’s silent auction and Stephanie Burns.
Congratulations to all and a VERY big thank you to all of our sponsors; you all make a difference in the Northwest community.
