Earlier this spring, the AQHA Executive Committee and AQHA leadership were faced with a difficult decision to cancel the AQHA convention but, at the end of the day, it came down to the consideration of the health, safety and wellness of our members worldwide, board of directors and staff.
This was the first time in the Association’s 80-year history that convention has been cancelled. However, even though the convention was cancelled, the AQHA Executive Committee and staff have been working diligently to complete committee work and governance items.
The 2020 AQHA standing-committee reports were released in April and the full reports are available at www.aqha.com/committee-reports. View highlights from the April 8 Executive Committee meeting and highlights from the April 16 meeting.
In addition, we are excited to bring AQHA members a series of video presentations, which would have taken place at the 2020 AQHA Convention.
The first in the series is the American Quarter Horse Foundation report, presented by Chief Foundation Officer Dr. Anna Morrison.
“During these unprecedented times when we are all impacted in various ways, we’re pleased to share some good news about the positive ways in which the Foundation works to support our industry and our American Quarter Horse Family,” said Dr. Morrison.
Throughout the presentation, Dr. Morrison shares more about the Foundation, accomplishments over the past year, the direction of the Foundation in the future and how members can help the Foundation achieve its goals.
