Ready your ropes and leg up your Paints! The United States Team Roping Championships Cowtown ShootOut returns to Fort Worth, Texas, and the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum November 14–16.
The ShootOut once again overlaps with a portion of the APHA World Championship Show, providing attendees of both events more competitive opportunities.
“We are excited to build on our partnership with the USTRC to once again host the USTRC Cowtown ShootOut in conjunction with the APHA World Show,” APHA Senior Director of Shows Holly Slaughter said. “It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase and reward the Paint Horses excelling in the USTRC and also introduce new ropers to our world-class roping events.”
Cash bonuses totaling $5,000 are up for grabs for registered Paints at the USTRC event. The owner of the high money #6 and above Paint and the owner of the high money Elite #5 and below Paint will each earn a $2,500 bonus and a custom Gist Silversmiths trophy buckle.
To be eligible for the exclusive payouts, the Paint must be registered and the owner a current APHA member. APHA’s knowledgeable and friendly MemberCare professionals will be on site to process entries as well as any memberships, transfers and registrations.
Additional schedule and entry information can be found in SuperLooper magazine or online at USTRC.com.
The Cowtown ShootOut is also a qualifying event for the second annual RFD-TV’s The American Rodeo. The qualifying round takes place November 14.
Qualified registered Paint Horses may also compete in the APHA World Championship roping classes November 12. More information about the APHA World Show is available online at oawcs.apha.com.
