WACO, Texas – The United Equestrian Conference announced its Riders of the Month for January.
EQUITATION ON THE FLAT RIDER OF THE MONTH
Kenzie Mezrah • UT Martin
- Went 1-0 last month for the Skyhawks in equitation on the flat and helped lead UT Martin to an 11-9 victory over No. 6 Georgia at home.
- Earned an 87-72 victory over her Georgia opponent.
- Her 15-point victory was the largest margin of victory in the event.
- Named Most Outstanding Performer in equitation on the flat with a team-high score of 87.
EQUITATION OVER FENCES RIDER OF THE MONTH
Kelby Kane • UT Martin
- Went 1-0 last month for the Skyhawks in equitation over fences and helped lead UT Martin to an 11-9 victory over No. 6 Georgia at home.
- Earned an 83-81 victory over her opponent from the University of Georgia.
- Her score (83) was UT Martin’s highest jumping score of the meet.
HORSEMANSHIP RIDER OF THE MONTH
Tess Bauman • UT Martin
- Went 1-0 last month for the Skyhawks in horsemanship and helped lead UT Martin to an 11-9 victory over No. 6 Georgia at home.
- Earned a score of 76.5, the highest horsemanship score in the meet.
- Named Most Outstanding Performer in horsemanship with a 76.5-73.5 victory over her Bulldog opponent.
REINING RIDER OF THE MONTH
Noel Meadows • UT Martin
- Went 1-0 last month for the Skyhawks in reining and helped lead UT Martin to an 11-9 victory over No. 6 Georgia at home.
- Defeated her Bulldog opponent, 72-70, as the Skyhawks won 4-of-5 reining points over Georgia.
- Named Most Outstanding Performer in reining after earning the highest reining score (72) of the meet.
